Quiet but really enjoyable stay!

Hotel was very quiet but clean and well presented. There was maintenance work going on so that can only be a good thing and did not disturb our stay. Lovely large clean room and great food and service in restaurant. We went out of season so no entertainment but we had day trips booked on the island and were happy to have a few drinks and go off to bed. Some of the negative reviews almost made me not to choose this hotel but I am glad that I didn't listen and our family went there- what an amazing experience! The room was spacious and cleaned every day. There was renovation work doing on some parts but the hotel grounds were maintained very clean. Disappointed. Reception looks 4*, rooms are 2* at the most!!

I think the 4 stars track back to 10-15yrs ago but not recent times. The reception area looks stunning but rooms are barely 2 stars in my view. Unless it's just the ground floor rooms that are tatty and neglected clearly asking for some refurbishment. The mattress was so old/used we could not sleep and we split with one of us sleeping in the spare little bed and one on the sitting sofa to ease the back pain. The AC w...

We just completed a 5-night stay at the Saracena Sands Resort. How this hotel has a 4-star rating is a mystery, it is a 3-star at best! There were a number of issues faced by our group who stayed. Here are some of the issues:

Good and bad. Dogs permitted children running riot unsupervised. Good food good facilities.

Be careful. If you are a family then you will think its great. If you want a quiet holiday with no pets give it a miss. Our mistake didnt realise it wasnt adults only, plus website said no pets, however small dogs were allowed and we had a yappy one near us. Lots of people complained but owner couldnt care less.
Kids were running amok with parents ignoring the behaviour.
