Stayed at the hotel at this hotel for 5 nights. I've been in worse hotels but also been in better hotels.
The room was big but old and could do with an update.
No fridge and air conditioner was controlled by staff at the front desk. As hot as Palermo was, the fact that the room was tiled made it cooler.
The bed was changed on the 3rd day but towels were changed every day.

We spent three nights in this tiny hotel and despite the hospitality of the staff at the reception and the breakfast area, we are sorry but we do not recommend a stay in it.
The first surprise was the location: the reception is on the third floor (second level above ground) and could be reached by a really small elevator or by steps. Our room next to the breakfast area, especially our bathroom and the whole hotel sm...

First impressions were not good.
The hotel was an easy 350 metre walk from Palermo's imposing railway station after I caught the excellent TrenItalia sleeping car intercity train from Milano Central that uses Europe's sole remaining train ferry.
The entrance was drab with no ramp. So drag the suitcase up a few steps. This part of the city was rundown.

We stayed at The Centro for 1 week, from 9/6/23 to 16/6/23. The hotel is very close to all the bars + restaurants of the town, and a 5 minute walk to the main line train station. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are kept very clean, but basic. No mini fridge or kettle, no tea / coffee making equipment. The rooms are a good size.
