We had booked Scandic Holberg for our stay in Oslo but due to renovation we were transfered to Scandic Grensen AND had to pay extra for it ?!...

Stay away: Rubbish noicy hotel with bad service

even if I ordered a quiet rom 3 month before stay because of early jobbmeeting, they could not manage to give it to me when I arrived. They said it's only its ful, even if I said I asked for this for 3 months ago. If I nknew they couldnt manage to give me a quiet room,I've choose another hotel. It's not good enough when people who ordered later then me got better rooms. Very bad . It was noisy with the pram outside ...

More of a youth hostel than a hotel.

The hotel was booked by a business partner. When I first entered the room, I could not believe how small it was. Just a few cms around the bed. Felt like a prison cell. No cupboard, just a few hangers hung from a bar over the bed. No table. No place to open the suitcase. No floor towel in the bathroom.
Could be a cheap youth hostel, but not a hotel for adults....

I spent one reward night in this Scandic hotel with my daughter. The overall quality and cleanliness of the room was slightly below the average of what one would expect from Scandic hotels - but to our great surprise we discovered upon bedtime that the room's shower wasn't functioning (there was no warm water, even when the thermostat was turned to maximum heat, way above the "safe limit" regulator). The website description of the room didn't match the room we were placed in (the room was ment for people with disabilities, like a hospital room, which was NOT indicated during the booking). More than that, the floor was dirty and the towels were grey (instead of white). Staff was NOT able to accommodate our request for a different room for 24 hours. Would't recommend it to anyone. ...
