The staff went above and beyond to make our stay over Christmas magical, for a 3 star bed & breakfast, there was lots of choice for a continental breakfast even provided champagne and macaroons on Christmas day. The sweets and little chocolates in the reception area each day were a welcome gift too! Amazing hotel for this price. It's nice, clean, staff is really kind and helpful. The breakfast is really good and the Christmas edition was my favourite. All the hotel was in Christmas decoratinos and Christmas feeling we loved it very much. Our room was small but perfect for 3 nights. Daily cleaning was very good too. The Byakko is conveniently located, close to the railway station and shopping area. The staff is very welcoming. My twin superior room was comfortable with a small balcony, recently renovated, clean and quiet. The bathroom is smaller but fine. The amenities such as the safe, fridge and tea & coffee tray are a plus. The breakfast could be improved. This property offers good value for money....

I booked after seeing the pics and reviews on tripadvisor.
I never go less than 4* & I shouldn't have this time either.
The room I was assigned was like a coffin, bed stuck to a wall, no room to walk.
I went to reception & the receptionist did not believe me when I showed him a pic of the room... He went to see for himself & he moved me to a better room on the first floor.
He said that a couple of floors were closed ...
