Wonderful room, but needs a chair

Love the casual style of the Baltic and the incredible friendliness of the staff. I would be giving them five stars if there was at least a chair to sit on in the room! The bed and the TV and the tiny bathroom are great. But for anyone that needs to sit down for an hour or two to work on the computer, you will have to sit on the corner of the bedframe and use the tiny footstool as a table. Otherwise, excellent stay!...

The room was very small, the pictures on website are stock pictures and make the room seem bigger with the couch, but there was no couch in our room. Hallways were gross, we thought we were being punked. There was not enough room to stand side by side next to the bed; my husband and I had to be on opposite sides. No safe deposit box. Excellent customer service! Complimentary bagels and coffee in the morning. Room was clean and comfortable. The interior of the hotel was safe. Be aware of your surroundings in the area; its a little in the rough side. Appreciate the communication by text and email....

Boutique? Maybe Not, But Still Recommended

Im not sure Id call it a boutique hotel, which implies to me nice place to take your sweetie for a weekend away. Its really more of a college dorm full of studious kids vibe.
Thats not a complaint. The room is a bit spartan but its more than adequate. It was clean and comfortable. The shower heats up very quickly (although the half wall is a bit weird and the floor gets quite wet).

The room has the bare minimum of amenities, ie., bed, toilet, shower and face sink. There was no table or chair to sit... only a stool. The room.did have a microwave and refrigerator, but the facet in the very small sink was loose, but fortunately did not leak. The elevator was out of order and the city block was more industrial, therefore not maintained very well, which didn't, in my opinion, justify the high nigh...
