Tidy Room, but would not recommend

Clean and tidy room, but there seems to be a severe lack of staff, or any level of efficiency.
Check-in was painfully slow around 45 minutes to work through a queue of around 5 groups.
Lifts are a complete joke. Queuing constantly two small lifts for the whole hotel.
Looks great from the lobby but beyond that its tired, outdated, and needs a freshen up.
2 stars just because the room was comfortable....

We stayed at the Park Central Hotel 26th December - 30th December as a family of 6 for my mum's 60th Birthday. Whilst our stay was fine, there are a few things that would prevent us from staying again:
- Despite paying for the hotel in full before arriving, a card was asked to be put on file which was expected and is standard for most hotels, however without warning the hotel held $400. They did not tell us a payme...

The Hotel was fantastic, very clean and easy to navigate. Perfect location as-well. No issues really with the elevators ( no more than any other hotel!).
The cleaners deserve big credit, always on hand to help and did a great job in the rooms everyday.
We didnt have many questions for the front desk staff but found the check in process easy and they were polite on arrival.
Would absolutely recommend and return....

Great location moments to times square. Wonderful if you are intown to see shows on broadway. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are spacious. The staff very friendly. The hotel is a great value compared to others in New York. We will definitely stay again....

Hotel needs to replace or teach staff how to clean rooms and floor. For 4* hotel- staff watching reels and around dirty floor( for 3 days nobody vacuums corridors) dirty bag with sheets left all day long in the corner, dust in the room on lamps etc. empty room- no make up set, no shower set, no pot, no robe/sleepers. Incredible building and location turned into a cheap motel- shame!!!...
