We came to NYC knowing we would be out 95% of the time. We only stayed in our hotel room to rest or sleep and for that, the hotel served its purpose. It was a small room, but again, we were just in the room to sleep, so it wasnt a big deal to us. Every staff member we can across was very nice, especially Nik. I've probably stayed at a few hundred Hilton properties. This was the worst. Occasionally things go wrong at hotels, we all know that. In this case, what went wrong was a critical piece of the experience, and the response from the management was a joke.
Simply put, the HVAC system in the room was essentially unusable.

My family of three stayed here for (what was supposed to be) three nights (but ended up being two because of a delayed flight.) The room was small and definitely could use some updates/replacements, but it was great for us. We simply needed a place to sleep, and this was fine. Great location just down from Penn Station/Madison Square Garden! Staff were very nice and went out of their way to be helpful. 24 hour coffee, tea, and cocoa available in the lobby/kitchen area. A free cookie at check in, though not always available. The only problem I had was breakfast at peak is a little crowded and the food doesn't quite keep up. This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel in 7 years. It won't be 7 years again. This stay was enjoyable and that has a lot to do with the staff.
