Beautiful Hotel, great customer service

We booked this hotel last minute after having a horrible experience at another downtown hotel. The price was very reasonable considering being booked the same day. The check-in was very smooth, Daviece, the front desk agent, was very polite and professional. She let us check in early so we were able to enjoy the city more. The only issue was one of the elevators was out of service but I guess that is out of their con...

Still waiting for an elevator

If you want to spend your holiday waiting for elevators this is the place. Spent majority of the holiday walking down 34 flights of stairs as the elevator was either not working or was always full. The day that we checked out I had to carry our suitcases down 34 flights of stairs after waiting 40 minutes for an elevator. The staff are not very helpful, and not very professional, would not recommend to anyone...

Lovely small hotel, ideally situated in downtown Manhattan. Very close to Wall Street, world trade centre and battery park which is handy to get the ferry to Statue of Liberty and Ellis island. It is situated on stone street which is split in two but the old part is very old and quaint with cobbled streets and plenty of little bars and restaurants.

Christmas ruined in NYC

Absolute worst Christmas in NYC.
Only one elevator working.
30 minute wait for elevator.
We walked down 44 flights of stairs and upon informing the front desk was scoffed at by Vanetta S.
She has a horrible attitude.
We will not stay here again.
DO NOT stay at this property....

I booked this hotel because it was one of the cheaper offerings for the time I was going to be in NYC. I have to say, my wife and I had a very pleasant stay.
While it was only the room, no breakfast included, our room did have a coffee maker and, upon check in, we were given the traditional free cookie offered by Double Tree and a bottle of water each. That was a nice touch.
