Location - The only selling point

If you expect to treated like a paying guest, or a friendly tourist then this isnt the hotel for you.
Reception staff (several) were incredibly rude and seemed to lack in any kind of basic level of customer service.
The location of the hotel is just about the only reason I have scored this hotel with a three. The facilities are poor (despite a ludicrous additional facilities fee) the staff are rude and the rooms...

The Hotel was in a perfect location. Walking distance to most of the attractions like Times Square, Radio City etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was well maintained during our stay. They also provide free coffee and chocolate drinks in the morning....

This is such an OLD hotel but, I think the mattresses are just as old. For the MONEY I paid I expected a decent bed but no.. the bed was a snap, crackle and pop every time I moved. My friend said hers sunk in. There was no compromise on the a/c or heat and if you turned it off there was no air, just dry ( cant breathe) so, no I wont ever stay again. Really enjoyed our recent stay here. Staff are polite and helpful. Hotel is clean and well maintained. Location is close to many sites e.g. Rockefeller Center, Broadway, 5th Avenue, Central Park, Grand Central Station. It's close to Times Square but far enough away from all the crowds. Would have liked a coffee machine in room but complimentary coffee and tea are available in the morning. Room did also have mini frid...

Stayed in September was a grubby room hardly any plug points,bath/shower room grim
Noisy fan in window - no view from room windows so dirty. Lifts small and lucky if working. Staff on reception night time pay no attention to the comings and goings of the working girls and there clients needs good security. No restaurant as led to believe and bar doesnt belong to hotel either so all it is really offering is run down...
