I needed to be closer to a particular location in Milan and considering that Milan is a very big city, I chose Hilton Garden Inn Milan North, purely due to its TA reviews. As such, I walked in with high expectations.
The start was not so good since when I was checking in, the young lady at the reception asked me to pay for the room (when it was already fully paid through hotels.com). Of course, this came as a shock ...

This hotel is located at a very quite place with 3 supermarkets nearby walking about 8 minutes, hotel is clean and staffs were polite. Managed to buy a croissant for one euro is a plus in the hotel. We cannot eat much for breakfast so we bought a croissant instead of having the buffet breakfast. Bus 87 in Milan is not good as the driver chased all people away when we have not reach Giorvanni station. Made us walked ...

Very well connected. Bus & metro station walkable hardly 50 mtrs. Super markets available near by. Taxis easily available always. Clean & Neat Rooms. Direct metro to Duomo every 8 mins. We had our sons Bday. They arranged an Vegetarian pastry at 11:45 pm in just 30 mins. Thanks for the amazing service. Highly recommended if you want to avoid crowds & looking for a calm stay. Its the best pick....

Petty restiction for my non-Diamond member partner

as a Diamond member booking double occupancy was informed I was the ONLY one that could receive complimentary breakfast. Never have I stayed at a Hilton flagged property where this petty restriction was put in place - by condescending front desk personnel...
