Rooms were very small & windows were blocked out because they looked at the air conditioning units. Bathtub was quite high so difficult to get in & out of (I'm 5'8"). Rooms need to be updated. Staff and breakfast was wonderful. Great location, we walked to many sights. Nice restaurants & cafes close by. ...

The room was very warm (over +25 C) and stuffy and the air conditioning could not be turned on (probably it was closed for the winter). The window faced the shaft of the courtyard, so ventilation was not successful either. Consequently, sleeping was sweaty Otherwise, an average hotel...

Madrid is a wonderful city, and we were excited to spend six nights at the Gran Hotel Conde Duque. Pros include the price (it was affordable, but not necessarily a good value) and location (great residential neighborhood and proximity to the metro). However, we wouldn't stay here again because the cons greatly outweighed these pros. With peeling wallpaper (with visible mold) and broken floorboards, the room was not u...

Taking Cold or Burning Scorching Showers ... Wall and ceiling Paint coming off in the Bathroom as the exhaust Fan was inoperable ... to take a shower you have to maneuver yourself in the offset tub with no handle bars and extremely slippery surfaces...

We really had a nice stay at this Hotel. We did a Globus tour and had booked a room independently for the night before. The Hotel was able to merge our booking so we didnt have to change rooms and we really appreciated that. When the tour ended we had another lovely room facing the Park. Both rooms we had were on the 3rd floor facing the park with small balconies.
