We spent here on the eve of our departure back to the US. The we stayed in was great but the service was disappointing. Ive stayed at other Room Mate hotels and had good experiences except for this one. Nobody was at the front desk when we arrived. During breakfast, we found a moldy sliced bread. The location is excellent, with restaurants surrounding the hotel and Santa Ana Square on the other side of the corner. The rooms are fine, and the staff are more than great; they are fantastic. This is why I always go back to this hotel when in Madrid....

Situated in Plaza de Santa Ana, the hotel's central location allowed easy access to major attractions while maintaining a peaceful ambiance. We had a really warm welcome on arrival and found our double room had every comfort including a kettle, coffee, sugar and a large free bottle of water. The beds were sublime, the bathroom had lots of freebies, the water really hot and the shower invigorating. Lots of lush towels. My sister was very touched the staff left a birthday cake for her.
