Amazing staff really make this hotel. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast and hospitality with superbly appointed rooms in a great location. When our flight was cancelled the staff went to great lengths to ensure that we could stay in our rooms for another night....

Great option in Madrid

Excellent hotel, excellent service, decent location, great ambiance. Only observation, the room has 2 levels with 3 steps that could be dangerous walking in the dark to the bathroom. The lobby is classy and elegant, there is a museum next to the lobby that is worth to visit ...

A special hotel on my second visit

This was my second stay at the Hotel Villa Real. Again I found the room very clean and comfortable, with special touches that other hotels didn't offer. Both times I've gotten rooms with views of the plaza, which is really nice in the morning and night. The receptionist and all the staff are very helpful and seem genuinely kind. The location is spectacular.
The shower leaks from the shower screen, the coffee was not replaced and the furniture was tired. Not a 5 star hotel.
The floor is on 2 levels and not suitable for someone with mobility issues. The restaurant is good and convenient....

I hesitate to give this hotel anything higher than a 3. The hotel has one of the best locations and central/walkable to most of the main highlights of Madrid and the front desk staff is incredible and very helpful. The great review stops here.
