Hotel Catalonia Del Retiro is a great place to stay while you visit Madrid. The front desk was phenomenal and we met people like Alvaro and Sarah who made our stay enjoyable and comfortable in every way, they gave us the extensions for the charging of all our devices and they also gave us lots of information about subway, subway station was like a two minute walk and eating area and a supermarket was maybe five minu...

Amazing service and great comfort. Highly recommended. We arrived late and jet lagged The checking in was easy and welcoming. We had originally a airbnb and we could not get in that place as the electronic door was malfunctioning. We found the Catalonia late and it was perfect. Gracias por todo....

Nice hotel, lovely staff including Christina who arranged us to access our room early (I love that Catalonia hotels seem to do that) and helped me out with a loan of a pliers when my luggage lock got stuck! Panaria next door lovely for breakfast. You would be better not counting on Puente de Vallecas metro as you have to walk under an underpass, it's not the best, but instead walk back up the street towards Pacific...
