Excellent hotel and superb staff

The hotel is in the best location for the main sites of Istanbul. Access to the whole transit system is very easy with a short walk to Sultanahmet tram station. Use the Instanbulkart card and make sure to to do a ferry along the Bosporus. Back to the hotel,it is extremely clean,warm,the staff are excellent,including Mohammad and Erhan who looks after your breakfast. Breakfast is similar most days but most people go ...

This is a late but unforgotten review :) we've been to the Byzantium hotel during the last week of August. Lots of nice memories, a delicious breakfast buffet that offered a plethora of varieties. VERY nice staff specially Warishah who was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay. A shoutout to Erhan for his hospitality every day at the breakfast. Looking forward for the next visit!...

We stayed with our family and there were 8 of us. The staff were very accommodating and helpful all the time. Two of our party were in wheelchairs and the stairlift was broken but the staff were happy to help with the stairs at the entrance multiple times a day and carried us up and down. We were also reroomed to family rooms in a more accessible part of the hotel and they were very accommodating for this. The rooms ...

Great location to walk to the main Istanbul attractions and a great breakfast buffet

The location was ideal. Walking distance to most attractions. The boat tour of the Bosphorus (arranged through the front desk) was reasonably priced and went very smoothly with bus transport to/from the boat dock.
The breakfast buffet was fantastic as managed by Erhan. Plenty of everything healthy - loved those Turkish dates and other breakfast items (like fresh tomatoes) not normally found in the USA. The kitch...

The hotel is situated in the best area for visiting the 3 most famous mosques and other attractions which are all within walking distance. However its the centre of the tourist trap and local prices reflect this. It is a little tired and we had to change our room because of problems but we were then moved to a suite.
