Very charming hotel within walking distance to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque (that whole area - Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace, Archeological Museum, etc.) Reception was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious enough for 2 females and our luggage and clean. Breakfast food varied and was served in a room with a terrace that had a lovely view of the Bosphorus and Asian side. For the price & location, this hotel was perfect. Close to restaurants & shops & walking distance to the park where yiu can see the mosque and the line for the Basilica. They recommended the sunset boat tour & with limited time, it was perfect....

It was a nice time in Istanbul in a cozy hotel Sumengen with a very hospitable staff Melikșan, an and Muhammad who made our stay comfortable and enjoyable! Being so attentive to our needs these guys managed to do all necessary arrangements, starting from the rooms up to excursions and everyday guides to our walks and shopping advice.

My recent stay at a purported four-star hotel was disappointing. Despite its rating, it failed to meet even basic standards, resembling more of a two-star establishment. The theft of my wallet from the room was deeply concerning, highlighting serious security flaws. Additionally, the state of the bathroom was appalling, and the breakfast offered was of poor quality.

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The bathroom was dirty, trash was piled up behind the radiator, and to make matters worse, my wallet went missing from my room while it was left on the bed. Upon reviewing the security footage, neither my entry nor exit from the room was captured, which is deeply concerning. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone....
