Very bad experience. Hotel Room Mate Emir is situated in the worst side street of the big shopping street in Istanbul center with prostitutes, travestites and drug dealers next to the hotel. Service in the hotel is very mediocre. We had to ask various times to fill soap container, to have toilet paper, to have our room done and in some cases they even did not do what we had asked for. Really loved how clean the hotel was - great ambience and good breakfast. Centrally located so it's easy to get around. We stayed an extra night and they gave us a good deal for it! The staff at the premises were always accessible and helpful. Thank you!...

BAD SERVICE & OLD JUNIOR SUITES

Before Arrival, I've contacted the Hotel to assign a spacious suite but unfortunately they did not confirm the suite although I booked a suite between 15th & 19th June and upon arrival they allocate a small suite but the FOM was helpful to show me a suite which was much better and checked-In. We absolutely loved our 10 day stay at Room Mate Emir! The location is great, just off to a quiet street just a couple minute walk to Istiklal Street and so many great restaurants and shops in Karaköy.
The rooms are spacious with high ceilings, the beds and furniture were comfortable and there are USB outlets throughout. The TV options are a bit limited but we brought an HDMI cable to watch our own content when we ...

Although all the public rooms were lovely and clean, overall, this hotel was not up to the unusual Room Mates standard. We've stayed in a few Room Mates hotels and loved them all, so this was our main reason for choosing the Emir.
