We recently stayed at the Palazzo Donizetti Hotel and had an average experience.
Pros:
The location was decent, nestled in an area with a lively nightlife. However, be aware that its up a very steep hill and not conveniently connected to Istanbuls main airport (IST). If youre like us and prefer a more laid-back, bohemian vibe, areas closer to Cihangir or Kadıköy would be better options.

Excellent location. Very clean. Polite and helpful staff. Wonderful view of the breakfast hall with acceptable variety of food. Large rooms with high height. The negative point was not having any place to smoke in any part of the hotel.near to metro and bus station ...

Hidden gem

The hotel is a hidden gem considering its decor, location and price. Its indeed an Italian palazzo, and if you like this style - the choice is yours! I expected a more tired hotel for this price, but its either renovated or very well maintained. Nice breakfast in the rooftop restaurant with great views of the city and Bosphorus. Walking distance to almost everywhere. Will stay again!...

Great hotel, very well located next to istikkal street and walking distance to Galaata Tower. Very nice rooms as well.
They have a nice rooftop restaurant for breakfast with an small outside area where they don't allow you to sit outside and enjoy your meal. I was really disappointed as I was looking forward to a peaceful first morning there, especially as there was no reasonable explanation for it. They mentioned ...
