Be Extremely Careful if You Decide to Stay at This Hotel. You Have Been Warned.
Our stay at Ruby hotel in Hamburg was an experience we wont forget, and not for good reasons. While the hotel did refund the cost of our room and provided a free breakfast after the incident, these gestures cant undo the serious issues we encountered.

We arrived early in the afternoon f our room was not yet ready, which I expected & we were able to leave our bags whilst we went exploring.

I returned to the room early in the afternoon and found a person who looked homeless going through my luggage with some of my clothes put in a brown bag (apparently ready for him to take). He bolted as soon as he saw me and luckily didn't take anything. Lovely hotel close to the center of town. Funky, contemporary vibe, great shower and bed. The staff were welcoming and friendly.
Handy laundry facility on our floor which was welcome.
Beautiful breakfast spot looking over the river/canal...

- Fantastic modern unique bedroom and bathroom layout
- The hotel had a cool industrial- chic theme throughout
- The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
- It has a trendy on site bar
- The hotel is very well located. Very easy to get to from the Airport, and its walking distance from most of the citys attractions.
