New year at the Cornavin Geneva

Clean, tidy but basic. Supposed to be a 4 star but would put it more on a par with a premier inn. No restaurant or bar, just a breakfast room.
Beds very low to ground but had already read a review that mentioned this and was prepared. Rooms VERY hot even with air con on.
Staff friendly and helpful but hotel would benefit from providing maps of Geneva ~not all of us know our way around. Possibly access to trips would...

Convenient Location

Great location to the train station; the main reason we chose this hotel. We stayed in a corner room on the eighth floor which gave us great views of Geneva. Our bed was very low, unique to me but maybe common in European hotels. The clock was very interesting especially from the 8th floor....

Old hotel, convenient location

Poorly designed room in an outdated hotel, but the location and breakfast are good, and its quiet despite proximity to the train station. Nice city view from the panorama room, where breakfast is served. Bring your own pillow if you want to sleep....

Hotel Cornavin, Geneva

Very good breakfast, in a large breakfast room on the 8th floor with spectacular views over the town.
We had a large room overlooking the square with a view of taxis busses and trams. Its adjacent to the station, but the position was ok. 10 minute walk to lake , plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. . Would stay there again.....

Convenient hotel for a night stop in Geneva

We landed late and didnt want to drive in the night to Charmonix so we found this near the train station that we can hop on the train from the airport and few minutes walk to the hotel. The stay was pleasant and staffs were helpful. We even squeezed in a quick city tour the next day after storing our luggages in the hotel before going back to airport to pick up car for our trip.
