Centrale was a great choice! We stayed there to celebrate my sister's birthday, and we usually prefer boutique hotels in Europe over the larger chains. Relais Hotel Centrale Firenze really impressed us. The staff was fantastic right from the start; Mr. Edigio welcomed us with a smile as soon as we arrived. This is a fantastic hotel - central location only about 200m from The Duomo - so safe - only ten minutes to walk to the train station - loads of places to eat and drink within a couple of minutes. Everything extremely clean - bathrooms, bed linen and literally all staff so pleasant - very secure within the hotel also. A very good breakfast. Would be our first place to stay if we visit again....

Totally disappointed! Staff was rude, except for breakfast folks. They tried to pull a fast one with rooms, gave us smaller brutal room then denied that. Needs a reno badly. Felt like we werent valued customers at all. This is not a 4.5 star hotel by any stretch. No views to speak of either....

We recently stayed at Hotel Centrale for one night, and overall, it was a fantastic experience with just a few minor hiccups. The reception staff were absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, they were welcoming, friendly, and eager to assist with any questions or requests and even upgraded us and allowed us to check-in early. Very kind staff, even dough the hotel is ancient I was delighted about the cleanness of everything, really clean towels and sheets. The location is perfect, you can easily walk from main station Santa Maria to the hotel. The only thing that I did not like was the parking, due the amazing central location we had to pay 38 per day, this includes the parking with a valet + ZTL registration, that you must to have if yo...
