First the positives; this hotel is in a great location, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the reception, breakfast area and the courtyard and public areas are very nice and charming. The breakfast is also fine, nothing extra-ordinary but adequate.
The negatives? We stayed in the so called Junior Suit, which though spacious, looked nothing like the photos on the website. The whole room needs a revamp, perh...

I booked this hotel for my friends birthday city break.
It is minutes from the railway station and the city centres Duomo attractions.
All the staff were wonderfully friendly and the hotel had loads of beautiful features.
Our room was lovely with view out over the courtyard eating area.
Id requested twin beds and had inquired about the possibility of a complimentary birthday bottle of fizz which both were provided...

I chose this hotel as it was central, convenient for the tram link to the airport and the price was affordable. I travel solo so had booked a single room. The room appeared fine at first, it is an old building so I was not expecting all modern conveniences but there could be some improvements, such as a larger table / desk in the bedroom as everything was very cluttered. We relocated to this hotel due to the heat experienced at a Airbnb rental which AC wasnt performing. They sent a maintenance guy who looked at it and stated the compressors for the AC were hidden in a compact area and there werent enough circulation. We decided to move and checked into Palazzo dal Borgo

We had a nice stay at the hotel - it was in a good location in central Florence. The staff were friendly and helpful, the continental breakfast was good and it was generally pleasant place to stay.
The bed could have done with being more comfortable (mattress a bit hard and only given one fairly thin pillow each) but otherwise room was pretty decent. Air conditioning worked well which was necessary.
