Called into the hotel this evening after a quick search for the best rooftop bars in Florence . Here for one evening during our honeymoon trip to Italy .

What a great hotel. The location is excellent, within walking distance of most attractions. The staff were extremely attentive and booked restaurants for us, arranged a taxi to the airport and allowed an extended check out (without cost). I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel in Florence. I don't know if you could pick a more picturesque locale. This is right on a piazza next to a beautiful church. There's a great gelato place on the corner and you are surrounded by restaurants and shops. You're not more than 15 minutes from most major attractions by foot. There's a laundromat nearby, pharmacies, and you're less than 5 minutes from the train station.

The Hotel Minerva is clean and in a good location, but the service is poor, and the rooms are small- the hotel is costly for what they offer - the initial room allocated was tiny, with a noisy AC and close to a service lift.
