Great hotel in a perfect location

We booked this hotel for a 1 night stay for a weekend Christmas market break. The location is perfect less than 5 minutes walk to the duomo.
As you walk in theres a large reception area with a checkerboard floor. Check in time was 1pm which is earlier than we are used to, but this was great as we could leave some of our stuff in the room before heading back out again.

The room was dated, with evident signs of damp and mould in the bathroom. Despite paying for a larger room, the bedroom was much smaller than advertised. The staff were unfriendly, and the overall experience did not reflect a 4-star standard. There was a persistent musty smell in the hallways, which added to the disappointment. Good welcome at the hotel. Large room overlooking the street. spacious bathroom with good amenities. The hotel is a little outdated and could do with some renovation, especially with the carpet.The airfreshner was overpowering in the room and we had to open the window.
Good breakfast with a large choice. Good service from the waitresses....

Good location for walking

This hotel is located within walking distance of the Duomo, the Galleria and lots of local restaurants and bars. The hotel restaurant has a limited menu but good selections. Reservations are a must. The breakfast is generous and served efficiently. The overall decor of the property could be characterized as 80s clean and well maintained but not what one would call updated ....

A must stay in Milan!!

We were kind of anxious about staying at this hotel because of some mixed reviews on trip advisor...but we had a great experience !!! yes, the hotel looks a bit dated, with some "heavy" decorations that makes you think you are living in 1990!!!! but..we LOVED IT. the room was 420, it was pretty big, with a street view. The hotel has a very good location, 2 blocks from the Duomo and city center. The wifi works perfect...
