We tried to use the hotel app to order room service. Unfortunately, the order went unnoticed by the staff. When they realized about the order, they tried to call us. However, they couldn't reach us because our room phone didn't work. There was no cable at all to plug it in. Luckily, a waiter went to our room to confirm our order and only then we had our food. The perfect layover!

We got given this hotel to stay in after we missed our connecting flight home.
We were all very tired and stressed, however, when we arrived at the hotel the staff were so helpful and empathetic especially Jenna at the desk.
She was super friendly and made us feel very calm and collective after a very hectic time. She offered each one of us a bottle of water for free to take to our room with us which was so kind!

Quiet room although far away from Messe Düsseldorf with public transportation

Hotel clean and quiet. Unfortunately the sauna was closed, and I missed a water boiler for tea/coffee in the room. Traveling from and to Messe Düsseldorf with public transportation was relatively complicated, which draws my ratings down. The hotel has a good location to visit Duesseldorf and the cities around. The parking garage is very convenient and spacious. The facilities are good. The price / quality ratio is good.
Some members of the staff could be a bit friendlier.
We had 2 issues with the air conditioning in the room. On our second day, we needed to change room, because the problem with the air conditioning could not be solved....

Expected better from NH

I've always had a good experience with NH group, but the Dusseldorf Nord was not great.
We arrived at 14:45 and the reception area was busy. I went to desk which was staffed by 3 people and asked to check in. "Check in is at 3pm, you must wait 15 minutes as the room may not be ready". I know we were in Germany but even by their standards that was a bit inflexible.
