I am writing this review before checking out of this wonderful find of a hotel. I am fast becoming a fan of the IHG Hotel Indigo brand, after staying for the first time at one of their properties in Verona last year for a special occasion. We stayed here with family to assist with forthcoming relocation to Dusseldorf. Although I had some issues with the booking on line prior to the trip ,the accommodation and check in have all gone well. The breakfast is typical European, although an order for fried eggs, or an omelette is done without any issues or cost. Delightful hotel near train, bus and tram stops

My second time to visit the Hotel Indigo, and it will hopefully not be my last. A friendly welcome, as always, and reception staff gave good advice about negotiating the public transport system. My room was spacious, with a large bathroom, and a small balcony overlooking the street. Bed was comfortable, and I loved the quirky designs and funky pop art. We stayed here for four nights and found that the hotel met all our needs:
Easy to get to from Tram/subway. The hotel area had restaurants, food outlets and a supermarket within easy walking distance. We tried the Greek restaurant opposite the hotel, and the Himmel &AHD for more traditional food, we also visited Cafe Florine for a wine and beer. All were reasonably prices with friendly staff and good food.

Dusseldorf old Intercontinental changed its name so the next best hotel to stay in was Indigo. My experience was horrible to say the least. My friend stayed at the old intercontinental with the new name with very nice room and location on Königsallee at much lower price than me!!!! I asked for an upgrade and was denied!!! I asked for 2 separate beds and denied as I stayed a week with my son in one king bed!!! The bat...
