I have stayed in a few of the Royal properties in Dubrovnik and this was by far my favourite. The room was the perfect size, the view doesnt compare to anywhere else Ive experienced. The balcony is right above the ocean waves. Working from my room on a cloudy day was the most luxurious and beautiful vibe. Great hotel, great staff, beautiful sea views from the room and excellent location. Just back from a wonderful holiday at the Royal Ariston and I would recommend both the hotel and Dubrovnik generally for a shoulder month break. This is not a 5 star hotel. Room is big but lacks food cleaning. Curtains at balcony were soiled and when I dropped phone the amount of dust and debris under the bed was too much. Dusty bedside lights. Lack of staff in pool area was noticeable. Breakfast is chaotic. Queue for coffee and no tea making facility. Check in was slow. Reception staff need to be more welcoming. Excellent room with sea view. We requested a higher floor ((3rd was perfect). Large room, comfortable bed. Shame no coffee machine rather than sachets. Good sized bathroom. Good products. Bath really high to get in and out of, also gets slippy.Breakfast very good , though not everything is ready if you go early; later it can get busy.

Hotel is siuated about 3 km from the centre of Dubrovnick in a lovely location overlooking the Adriatic. Pleasant experience when checking in and showed to our room which overlooked the bay. Hotel has many areas where you are able to relax or swim. You can swim either in the pools situated around the hotel or in the sea itself. Staff are very attentive. We opted for B&B.
