My impressions of the hotel

A good hotel in a good location in the city. I stayed with my 12-year-old daughter and our room was very small - we barely fit in it. When we checked in, the room was very cold - for some reason they didn't turn on the heating in advance (we were there in December). There were also no slippers in the room. Good breakfast. Average location - not the very center of the city, as it was written when booking the hotel....

Location is great, as it is 6 - 7 mins walk to nearest Metro station, Kongens Nytorv, if you use the correct exit.
From there, it is just 15 - 20 mins ride to and from the airport metro station, 106 DKK for 3 adults and 1 kid, which is relatively affordable (a 3 zone ticket).
If you take a taxi, it can cost around 400DKK from the airport for a 25 m ride, which is fairly costly. (Viggo is costly in Copenhagen, as I...

We chose this hotel based in TripAdvisor reviews and it did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and efficient, the breakfast was excellent and the location was perfect for walking around the city....

My stay at the Copenhagen Strand was exceptional. My original reservation was for 3 nights but I had to extend it on the day I was to return home to the U.S. due to illness. I ended up having to stay an additional 5 days. So, I can confidently share an extended stay review at this lovely hotel. The hotel location is wonderful next to Nyhavn and facing the water.
