This is a large hotel that is about 10 minute walk from Cologne station. Paid parking underneath structure. Central location with plenty of restaurant and shopping choices. Close to the Dom. There is a tram line next to the hotel. The hotel has a central atrium with surrounding floors with rooms. The lobby level and 1st level have several restaurants, shopping and an excellent bar. Positives-we got to the hotel 3 hours before check in but our room was ready.
Location is perfect
The shower rooms are modern
Negatives-wait up to 10mins for the lifts
The hallways and decor very dated
Room bedroom and furniture dated
The room we had was on the 5th floor and so hot and stuffy with no opening windows
Air con was terrible did not cool the room
Lack of electric sockets in room
Odd smell in the hallways

Very rude and unhelpful front desk staff. Took half an hour to book in. Don't know their own policies. Really not customer focussed. Corridors smelled really weird. Lots of other options around. Would definitely choose somewhere else. Cologne is lovely though....

Really nice hotel with an excellent restaurant within the building. The location is excellent to access bars, restaurants, the cathedral and the major shops.
Very happy overall.
The one thing that I felt was very poor was the daily room cleaning/service. I stayed 5 nights and the effort was appalling and I definitely dont have a high bar. Empty water bottles not removed twice; the shower gel was empty and I had to ...

Stayed for weekend. Hotel in great spot next to the rhine and one of the main squares with train spot outside. Hotel large visually inside looks great. Rooms are a little dated but have all mod cons and beds comfortable. Nice little pool and steam room sauna too. Would stay again...
