- location is perfect for our short trip. We dont have to worry about transportation as the main attractions are within walking distance. It was close to the xmas market too!
- nice interior design for a basic hotel
- staff were mostly attentive except for the girl on the during our check our day. She was gloomy but still helpful.

The D8 is clean tidy and perfectly located to explore Budapest. The breakfast choice caters for all and has everything you could think of. Rooms are basic, shower excellent and room generally was very clean.
Booking in and out was very smooth and all staff are polite to all nationalities.
Will return to the D8 if we revisit Budapest....

Mixed experience in his hotel. It is in a great location next to the Vörösmarty Christmas market and St Stephens market nearby. A metro station is nearby and good transport links, try using the Budapest Go app but read up before you go on how to use it. Most historic sites are also walkable, and recommend heading to district 7, aka the Jewish quarter for ruin bars and cheaper restaurants than near St Stephens Basilic...

We stayed for 3 nights in December, our visit was specifically for the Christmas markets, the location of D8 is excellent. HOHO stop nearby and trams/busses, though we mostly walked to everywhere. We got the bus to the top of Buda castle and as there was no queue, we got the funicular back down, this was worth it for the experience. The hotel was clean, good shower, friendly staff. A++ hotel. Stayed in a family room - great staff and phenomenal location! Subway station is across the street and the tram is a couple of blocks away. A lot of the top sights are within walking distance of the hotel! If ever we come back to Budapest, wouldnt consider staying anywhere else!...
