Great hotel in the heart of the city!

Great hotel in the heart of the Budapest with a beautiful view of the Danube and Buda Castle. The rooms are clean, warm and large. One of the most comfortable mattresses I've ever slept on in a hotel. Good breakfast, friendly staff and perfect connection to the most beautiful places in the city. Don't waste money on more expensive hotels....

Fantastic location, loads of places to eat near by, view from our window was Danube , aircon in room, staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again, Budapest is a beautiful place to visit and I highly recommend staying at the Matyas Hotel 10/10....

Just back from visiting wonderful Budapest, staying at Hotel Matyas. Found the basic room clean & value for money, it is an old building but that is part of it's charm and located close to one of the bridges over the Danube so easy to navigate.
Staff were pleasant and helpful when approached. Only downside was lack of tea & coffee making facilities in the room..... Hot drinks machine was available in the reception ar...

Don't be fooled by any good reviews on this hotel. This is by far the worst place I have ever come across!
My travel agent booked me and my family in here based on the excellent price and location. And I agree with both; the location is fantastic and a stones throw from high street shops, restaurants and the Elizabeth Bridge. The price was also reasonable seeing as we were there for the F1. The Hotel is in a perfect location, The room was clean and the staff were extremely helpful, The bed was very comfortable. Very central to shops, bars, restaurants and transport links. I would recommend it. It had everything I needed and a great price too....
