Good Alternative Near the Ivory Tower

This is a good option if you need to be near Harvard Sq. and do not want to spend so much money on other properties closer to the Ivory Tower. I booked a rather long stay and luckily was able to get a third party reseller prepaid rate which was relatively affordable for that area. The hotel's site and Marriott Bonvoy have significantly higher rates and cannot match those rates. The hotel is not full service but it...

Wonderful Hotel in the Cambridge area!

Wonderful hotel in a quiet location! Front desk was very professional, efficient, welcoming upon check-in. Our room was a nice size with appreciated amenities including a refrigerator. Modern decor made the room feel airy and spacious. Breakfast is delicious and a nice addition in the mornings. Would definitely stay when we next visit this area....

Stayed one night at the AC, but would go back anytime. Nice recent hotel, good comfort,easy parking. The neighborhood is nice with a park adjacent to the hotel. It is close to the Alewife Station, so it's a good choice if you don't want to drive in Boston....

Dirty Rooms and Dirty Dealing

Floors in room sticky. I asked them to mop. They didn't?? So I wet a few towels and scooted them across the room floor and also the bathroom floor. They came up brown and black. I asked again for a mop which made a slight difference. Lumpy pillows. Faded grayed-white coverlets. Only a bench to set our suitcases on--no drawers or place to put anything. One hanging rack about 18 inches wide.

You'll hear everything next door and in the hall from your room. Management makes an admirable attempt to address this with a white-noise machine in every room, but it isn't enough to mask the noise of a neighbor or people walking through the hallway. Some buildings aren't well suited to be hotels. This is one....
