Great location in the city of Bologna - 5 minute walk from the central railway station, 20 minute walk to the Piazza Maggiore in the centre.
Rooms are clean and reasonably comfortable - the furniture/ decor is a little dated, but of good quality. Lovely bathroom, great shower.
We were on the third-floor at the front of the hotel - very quiet street outside.
Did not eat breakfast at the hotel - there are two cafe...

Loved this hotel. Unusually large bed and bathroom for singles which are usually very small in Europe. Never heard a sound in my room, looking over the rear of the building and not in the main hall. Wonderful breakfast with great assortment of choices and a lovely and kind staff. At the front desk Aldi was especially nice. Efficient elevators (2), also not always the case. This hotel is very well located for Bologna central train station - 5 minutes walk. The hotel is old style decor beautifully maintained with a high standard of cleanliness. The room was spacious as was the bathroom. The air con worked perfectly. It was 32 ° outside. The street is quiet so no trouble sleeping. Excellent breakfast and nice reception staff....

Very happy with our short stay - the reception staff was very nice and helpful, the room was clean, spacious enough and very quiet (overlooking the back of the hotel). Bathroom was OK too, the only inconvenience was the narrow entrance of the shower cabin.
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but visited the café opposite the entrance for a cappuccino and croissant.

The staff were the best feature of the hotel: very friendly and accommodating. Some previous reviewers claimed the hotel is dated, however, it is just the style of the hotel, which some might like, others won't. You can tell that furnishings were recently replaced/renovated.
