Stayed for a 3 night stay close to the train station only a couple of minutes walk to hotel. Staff where helpful and aloud us to check in early . Room was clean and comfortable and looked like it was recent been renovated we also had a view of the garden. Had a good choice for breakfast. Only a ten minute walk to the main square and other attractions.

Group booking, we even booked a meeting room with amenities.I informed Mercury I might have made a mistake during my booking using THEIR web site via the note field (I have proof of this). During registration, i was told they would charge for a double booking. Ended up charging me for one after the group organizer cancelled her room.Leaving me to pay for the higher priced booking (474 Euros). Management didnt car...

Good hotel in a great location

Our check in was excellent as Susan was friendly and efficient. The hotel is an older hotel but the renovated room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast room was good and the meals reasonable. The garden bar was a lovely area to relax and the staff were friendly...

Location feels unsafe particularly at night

We stayed in the Mercure Hotel in Bologna for 2 nights on our trip across Italy and it was the worst so far mainly due to the location (please research the station area of Bologna - its not good.)
The hotel itself has undergone a recent makeover and the rooms are small but okay. You get a couple of free cans of juice/soda in the minibar. The breakfast is quite nice too, but busy from start to close.

The Hotel is very nice, and in a great position. I was only staying one night and was in transit. I arrived early evening, hot and tired having travelled all day. There was no baggage service or baggage cart for me to do it myself. There was no information on the hotel services in the room and hotel channel on the TV offering services or info on them.
