Front desk. Staff were very young and changing shifts all the time... some of them were rude and condescending...
It was hot in Bilbao and the hotel had shut off the air conditioning system. Despite my reporting them that the room was extremely hot, staff kept on explaining "why it was hot"! We were absolutely stunned by the beauty and innovative urban design of Bilbao. Sure, the Guggenheim is quite deservedly the centrepiece of this former industrial citys remarkable renaissance, but the attention to public spaces, efficient transit, maintenance of heritage neighbourhoods and walking and biking trails has made this one of the most liveable cities in the world. The room and hotel were very clean, friendly service even when I stupidly locked the safe (N.B. Read the instructions first).
Breakfast has to be ordered the day before which is slightly odd. In addition, the milk on offer was only lactose free or soya which was unusual. Overall a good selection....

Hotel is in nice location and has very helpful staff, especially David at reception. Room was clean, comfortable and well equipped with necessities. Breakfast was a fairly good spread of cold meat & cheese and also eggs and bacon. Would recommend....

This hotel isnt fancy but its location cant be beat. Its a great value and just what I wanted for my visit to Bilbao.
Its located a very short walk from the Casco Viejo Metro stop, Abando station, and the tram for convenient connections to the entire Basque region (which has an exceptional transit network).
Its an extremely short walk to Plaza Nueva and incredible pintxos.
