Superb location, big and quiet room, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. My only remark is that on the 7th floor was a little bit unpleasant smell, but not too much. I recommend this hotel. ...

I booked the newly renovated family room with a balcony for my family of 4. When we first checked in, the room was dirty, imagine brown stains on the toilet seat, something red in the toilet bowl. Room very dusty, we literally saw heaps of dust. Many broken and chipped corners eg table lamp, toilet mirror, wardrobe door hitch already came off. Called housekeeping, they tried to remedy. Overall the hotel looks nicely decorated.
We are on our 3rd night of total 4 night stay.
On day 1 of checking in, our toilet smells, cups has stains, toilet seat has brown patches on it, wallrobe metal "connector" detached. We then informed the hotel whom apologised and quickly actioned. There are other problems such as chipped mirrors, badly chipped study lamp, these we live with.

Very nice hotel and perfect for anyone wanting to see the sights of Berlin as it is perfectly situated. Easy walk from the train station along Fredrickstrasse and the train from the airport is really easy. Checkpoint Charlie is so close. The big red bus is also from CP Charlie which is a must to see all of Berlin. Definitely be back. Not sure about the sauna as it never seemed to be on which was my only complaint...

Good points first - excellent location so handy for everywhere in the city. Reception, restaurant and bar were extremely well decorated, welcoming and comfortable and the breakfast one of the best weve experienced. There was so much choice and well presented.
