My daughter stayed in this hotel a couple of years ago and recommended it. It was perfect for our needs. Just a couple of hundred yards from Friedrichstraße station where we caught a train straight from the airport. The rooms are small but perfectly comfortable for our needs including a proper hairdryer in the bathroom (not the type with a stretchy hose that arent man enough to dry your hair).

Perfect City Break Hotel

This hotel is in the perfect location for exploring Berlin.
There is a small square/green area immediately outside the hotel, with the river and a handful of bars & restaurants surrounding you as well as a main train station, local supermarket & access to all manners of public transport.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable & have everything you need!...

Very clean and tidy, room was adequate but no view which wasnt a problem insofar as we were in Berlin to explore. The staff we friendly and courteous and spoke good English ( a very sad thing on British education system that we dont have a good language option in our schools)
The only problem we had were with the lifts, despite there being three they tended to do their own thing a lot of the time.

Great little hotel very central to everywhere. Bedroom was small but adequate and bathroom surprising large , immaculately clean, great shower. Staff helpful and friendly.
Take train direct from airport 4.40 euros. Ticket machines on platform . You must validate ticket in small machine near trains before getting on the train. Hotel not 5 minutes walk from station. Thought breakfast was a little expensive. Tried for...

Location is excellent, in between a tram station easily accessing Museumsinsel, between two stations of U6, one of them is also an S-Bahn/train station, these making easily accessible most of the sites with maximum 1 transfer, several sights in a longer walking distance. Many shops, restaurants nearby, from good cheap ones to expensive ones.
Room is what you expect from a 4 star business hotel, we did not need more....
