A solid choice for Berlin

We checked in after Christmas and the nearby Christmas markets were in full swing. The hotel is located about 12 mins walk from Zoo station or you can take the bus 200 which drops you right outside the hotel.
Our room was not ready at 1pm despite the request for an early check in but were were allowed to wait in the lounge whilst it was cleaned. It was an upgraded room and it was very well appointed.

We stayed at the Intercontinental for 4 nights. Its in a good location, near the Berlin Zoo & Aquarium and lots of shops. The Berlin Cathedral & TV tower are around 10 minutes away in an Uber. Its around 30 minutes drive from Berlin Brandenburg Airport.

Stayed for 3 nights with a friend as we explored Berlin. We spent most of our time outside the hotel so cannot comment on the gym, pool and spa. Room (premium) really good and large bathroom. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Bar closes a little early for night people like us and there is not a residents bar! This would be a nice touch! Excellent location and close to transport links. A typical corporate feel hotel as expected for this chain. Despite having conventions on and the restaurant being very busy at breakfast, the staff did a tremendous job of ensuring tables were cleared and available at all times.
