Way too noisy

While the location is excellent and my room had the charm of a renovated old building, the noise level from outside was terrible. Yes, they installed new windows that may have helped, but my room overlooked a busy plaza and I heard a lot of street noise. Worse yet, my room was over the door to the busy hotel restaurant, and all evening long, I heard that door open and shut, open and shut....

We decided on this hotel over the more well known chains like Meridien and Renaissance and we were very happy with the decision. This is a beautiful quaint hotel right in Gothic Quarters. The room we had was very large by European standards. Our room overlooked George Orwell Plaza which itself is a lively spot. Really nice hotel in one of the nicest districts in Barcelona. Most of the tourist attractions can be reached by foot. Room was nice, big and clean. We particularly loved our balcony, the nice little kitchen as well as the pool on the roof top. Staff was friendly and courteous. ...

For what it cost. was very basic. internet was awful. tv had blocked netflix, no reception really to sit at. staff werent great either and didnt help with the door when i had hands full etc...
