The worst experience ever

I recently stayed at this Hotel in Amsterdam, booked via Booking.com, and it was one of the worst experiences Ive had with a hotel. The room I received was in a completely different state from what was shown in the photos on Booking.com and Google. It was located at a different address (203 instead of 205) and was in an unacceptable and uninhabitable condition.

THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Made a booking through booking.com and instantly realised the dates were wrong. Contacted the hotel within hours only to to be told they would not give a refund, tried to change the dates later as it said I could do that as an alternative only to be told they wouldn't do this either. We booked an almost last minute trip to Amsterdam on a budget and this did the job.
Firstly, the hotel is located in a lovely area of Amsterdam, nice to walk around and close to the park. The tram stop is just a short walk at the end of the road and the number 2 will take you into central (around 15 mins). A short 10/15 minute walk into the museum part where there are loads of bars and restaurants too.

this is my second time in Amsterdam but first time in this hotel. I fell in love with the friendliness of the staff, especially Elroy. He showed us typical places to eat, where to take public transport and many other tips, he really helped us make our holidays fun and easy. The location was great. Check out person was very nice. That being said. Our room was awful. Towels were dirty, light was broken in the bathroom, hairdryer died after first use. They did not replace the toilet paper after the first day. Room was stuffy, we were on the top floor, so 3 flights of stairs, the last was almost like a ladder. Rugs were filthy. I do not recommend staying here. ...
