Great location due to the view and neighborhood, but not due to the proximity to train station or ferry terminal

Stayed for a night for our short stopover in Amsterdam during our Europe trip. The location of the hotel is a bit far from the ferry terminal and train station, but ideally located nearby the river and supermarket. We were assigned a river view room and enjoyed the view throughout the day and evening. The Reception who checked us in, Mohammed if I picked up his name correctly, was warm and welcoming. Rude staff many occasions
Bot meeting standards of Ihg or any other hotel.
One staff once told me: i will give tou a paper cup just because you asked nicely although she helpers but such sentence should never be told to a client ! I forgot her name she works in the resturant as i asked for a cup to go out of service hours , she helped , but could be nice generally not to menti...

The hotel cleanness is very poor our room was not cleaned and bin was not empty for 2 days out of our 3 stay. Breakfast very poor. I made a complaint 09:30 in the morning came just before 2pm the room is still the same , I was told it will done by 5pm. We sat at the lobby for the room to clean....

A very comfortable, clean room on the 8th floor. Everything provided, the shower water could have been a little hotter. Stayed 3 nights , the first two very quiet but on the 3rd night there was a party at a nearby club and the sound kept us awake pretty much all night (Saturday). When we asked at reception there are three clubs near the hotel so Friday/Sat could be potentially noisy!! :(

We chose this hotel based on price/convenience only but ended up being really happy we had the chance to experience Amsterdam Noord, which was very different from staying downtown in the old city at the end of our trip (both great, just different!).
