Great location, a little off centre, definitely boutique old charm Amsterdam!

Very typical old Dutch house - just gorgeous. Perfect location, with window that opened out onto a canal view. Its probably a 3 star. No lift but understand completely why. Front of house very pleasant but not 5 star. Cleaning was OK and one set of towels had a hole in it. But it was fine, we were there to explore Amsterdam and be part of the city. So if you dont mind this being a little off centre - youll love it...

Me and my son had an amazing stay at the Grand Canal Hotel,all the staff are friendly and helpful,the room was comfortable and clean,the only thing I missed was not having a view from the window but we only stayed 2 nights so we were out and about anyway..mainly the location of this hotel is brilliant,it's on a quiet street at the side of the canal but you have everything in walking distance,if I came back to Amsterd...

Absolute dump. Bedding was filthy, walls were covered with dirty handprints, tv was not working, and the room was situated within steps of the very noisy reception. When asked for alternative accommodations the staff indicated this was all they had. .
The room looked nothing like the photos, and more like a college dormitory. Definitely deceptive marketing, and certainly not anywhere near the expectation of a 3 or...

I stayed here with a friend in November 2018.
We thought it was great, a lovely clean room, friendly staff, fantastic location & you even got free croissants in the morning and snacks of an evening that could be collected from reception!
A perfect place to stay for a few days in Amsterdam. The room was quite small but it was great for us as we were out and about for most of the days!...

The hotel is perfectly located. It is in walking distance to everything. Good restaurants near by and so lovely to walk out to the canal every morning. The rooms are nice as well. I appreciate that they have coffee and tea available in the lobby as well as water. ...
