Just arrived home from here. Within walking distance to all sights (Heineken experience/ice bar/lost in Amsterdam/museums) situated a few minutes walk from central station and transport links to visit the sights (if you dont want to walk) many shops and bars surrounding the hotel. Hotel Avenue is definitely a great choice for staying in Amsterdam. The location is very convenient, just a few minutes walk from Central Station and Dam Square. Theres a small market at the corner, and several cafes are nearby.
The room was comfortable, equipped with all the necessary amenities and hygiene kits.

The room was surprisingly roomie but bathroom was a little small but had a great shower. high standard of cleanliness. Really well situated for many different attractions and the buffet breakfast was really good and a great way to start the day....

The location is very good, close to everything and in the center of Amsterdam, you can walk from the central station in 5 minutes, Breakfast was good, not huge, but of good quality, and the cooks were Portuguese, so you could talk in Portuguese .

Room was nothing like advertised. We were put in room 109 which was like a prison cell with a tiny window at the top of the room that didn't let in any natural light or air. Room small, no wardrobe space. It was dingy the whole day which meant we had to have the lights on whenever we were in room. Bathroom smelled. Air con hit and miss.
