Great stay and location!

Great location and the staff are really friendly. The room was very quiet, never once heard street noise or from other guests. The lobby had a really pleasing aroma, I know that sounds weird but usually fragrances in hotels are trying to cover something up but this was really nice and Im someone who hates perfumes and most air deodorizers. I wouldnt hesitate to book here on my next visit....

some stains on the room chair & carpet. chandeliers in the building elevators and lobby were dingy and dusty. perfume smell was overwhelming in the lobby. and for 3 small pizzas, chicken sandwhich and some cocktails were $222.00. no free coffee or continental breakfast. for $650.00 a night I would expect a little more or would probably spend a couple hundred more elsewhere for a better stay. The staff is the best I have experienced. They go above and beyond expectations! The room was beautifully appointed and since it was our son and daughter in laws wedding night, the hotel included champagne and fresh chocolate covered strawberries which made the evening even more special. It is a great hotel!...

The bed was so comfortable, slept like a baby! The room was over sized which in NYC is so appreciated. We would stay here again and just might over the holidays. The front desk was very helpful. The bar looked full and everyone was having a good time....

A Lovely Old NY Hotel

This is a lovely old hotel. The staff is pleasant and competent, and the services are well executed. The cleanliness of the hotel was perfect. Our only criticisms were that the rooms, although well kept, could use a little updating, and the bar area in the lobby was understaffed. But we did have a relaxing, comfortable stay....
