Spain’s Costa del Sol has been hosting family holidays for years, thanks to its kid-friendly hotels, sands and eateries.
Action-packed hotels
Family hotels in the Costa del Sol don’t know when to stop. Take the Holiday Village Costa del Sol — it serves up a giant beach club with lagoon pools. The kids’ club runs all day, before passing the baton to the all-go evening shows and theme nights. Then there’s the Globales Playa Estepona. A waterpark with sea-view slides and fountains crowns this hotel.
Days out in the Costa del Sol
Beach-wise, families hone in on Benalmadena. It’s got a theme park, Sea Life Centre and cable car, plus miles of super soft sands. For a hit of old-world Andalucia, head to Estepona. Go beyond the beach at this resort, and you’ve got a charm-packed old town. There are plenty of big daytrips on the agenda, too. Gibraltar, Grenada and Seville are all within a few hours’ drive of the Costa del Sol.
