Best time to go to Zagreb

Most people flock to Zagreb in the summer, when temperatures hang around the early twenties. And it’s not unusual to see them creeping into the thirties, especially in July and August. As for winter, things take a chillier turn, with the mercury sometimes nosediving all the way down to around freezing. Flurries of snow are part and parcel, too, so don’t forget to pop some gloves and hats in your suitcase if you’re visiting at this time of year.

Passports and Visas

British citizens don’t need a visa to enter Croatia but must have a valid passport. You can check your passport’s valid for Croatia using our handy tool. For the most up-to-date passport and visa info, visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/croatia/entry-requirements.

Don't forget to arrange your travel money and insurance before you go.

Health and safety

You should take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover you while you’re away. For the latest health and safety information, visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/croatia/health
