Shores to explore

Kefalonia's the largest of the Ionian Islands, and its coastline has more beaches than you can shake a sandy stick at. There are two right at Lassi's feet, each kitted out with sunloungers and snack bars. For a more secluded stretch, walk just 15 minutes north to Kalamia Beach where tree-topped cliffs hug calm turquoise waves.

Coast to coast

If you're a strong paddler, you can take guided sea-kayaking tours over to the Lixouri peninsula, stopping by the rust-red sands of Xi Beach. Less taxing boat trips run from Argostoli and hit up fan favourites like Shipwreck Beach – just across the strait on the north edge of Zante.
