For some local culture that's fun for kids, catch a folk puppet show. Don't forget to wolf down some pastitsada – that's chicken and pasta – from a taverna while you're out.

Being right at the edge of the Ionian Sea gives you some fun options. Go sailing on a yacht, attempt scuba diving or read a book while you sunbathe to a perfect shade of bronze. As a bonus, the sand on the secluded beach here is just right for building mini castles.
