As far as resorts go, Olu Deniz is the big shot of Turkey’s Turquoise Coast – or Dalaman Area. This place looks sharp and knows it. And who can blame the town, when it’s got a top-drawer lagoon, a Blue Flag beach and a mammoth mountain in the bank.
Double the sands
This place brings home the bacon when it comes to beaches. There are two tanning spots to choose from. You’ve got the pretty shingle beach in town, where you can watch paragliders drift through the sky. But the famous Blue Lagoon is the most prized patch. This place looks like it’s been airbrushed, with whipped cream-white sands, bright turquoise waters and a pine forest backyard.
Paraglide and party
Sunbathers aren’t Olu Deniz’s only fan base. It hits the right note with adrenaline-junkies, too. They’ve sniffed out the Babadag Mountain, which provides the perfect launch pad for paragliding. What’s more, the resort’s a bit of a night owl. The main street is jammed with shops, karaoke bars and restaurants, which plate up everything from Thai to Turkish cuisine.
