Figueretas' prom looks over the sea, but your eyes might be drawn to the craft stalls that set up here in the late afternoon. Handmade jewellery makes a great souvenir, while kids might opt for a cheeky caricature. On Wednesdays, follow the crowd on the ferry to Es Cana, where the famous hippie market is packed with leather goods, jewellery and tie-dyed clothes.
Fun-packed beach
From kayak and pedalo rentals to glass-bottom boat tours and martial-arts demos, the beach at Figueretas is where the action's found. There's always space to flop down on the sands – the half-moon beach is kitted out with loungers, showers and lifeguard stations. At dusk, find a spot at a beachfront terrace bar while the DJs spin their tunes.
